This pistol was Made by Gibbs of Birmingham. Guns of this condition made by this maker are becoming increasingly hard to come by. The barrel having Birmingham and London proof marks.
This is the model 1802 which was converted to percussion in 1838. The back shows the remnants of a belt hook indicating this gun was used for sea service or by a customs officer This is a rare gun
